The Dark Knight is the bestest Batman movie so far!

The only words I repeated while watching was Oh God, Oh God, Oh God, Oh God! This is not a perfect man trying to keep being perfect. It's raw, it's painful, and it's so human. And Joker made me wince, he really did. He's agonizing madness, cruelty and viciousness. He doesn't make me laugh at all. He's scary and terrible and just The Joker. Perfect Joker. I vote for Heath's Joker now above Jack Nicholson's. May Heath be proud up there.

Gordon reminds me of Yagami Senior (Death Note), and Harvey's so messed up (even from the beginning) I couldn't help pitying him. And look, people! TDK shows that heroes aren't in the superknight or supervillain, it's in the common people. Though, I admit, I frowned at the scene where the people on both ferries stopped themselves from killing each other, and once again when Batman took all the blame. Man, morality! What a mock!

And Gotham is hauntingly frightening, inside and outside.

But still. I wouldn't mind watching TDK over and over. If Pirates3 got me thrice, why couldn't TDK got me ten times?

 haha Man I'm definatly falling apart.  I just got a phone call from my doctor that my cholesterol was high (in the 220-230 range, I forget which) and that there might be a problem with my thyroid.  They're going to do more tests about that and told me to call them back on Saturday.

So I'm going to need a box of cheerio's and a lack of dairy/animal fats.  My favorite foods ;_; g-gone *sniff*

I also got a 5 on that Math placement test for my college, which is awesome in some ways and augh in others.  It means that I can go into Calc honors which I will most likely refuse because holy crap, I don't want the extra work my first semester!

I am also going to see Dark Knight tonight (lol) with my friends, so that's got me excited like whoa.

And I finally got my roomates names and emails.  I think I'm going to end up emailing them later today to see if we can meet eachother at orientation tomorrow and et to know eachother.  And THANK GOD, we have a suite styled room, which means it's a doubed floor plan.  If what I'm thinking of is correct, we have a room to sleep, a living room like room, and a private bathroom between the three of us.  Oh man, I hope I'm right because that would be just awesome. 

One of the doll files I thought I lost yesterday was found today as a layer on another file, so I don't have to do it again.

I still wonder what is it about Tarot that draws me. I am not terribly inclined to symbolism, do not set much stock by intuition and explain the readings I get very much by-the-book.

And still this is fun, and feels right. I tell myself Tarot is good for storytelling, but I am yet to write anything Tarot-based, even though I have ideas and plans (then again, I am in a bit of writing dump and giving myself panic attacks about that).

Also: rereading "Prince Caspian" several months after seeing the film. I liked that film well enough but I guess it's good that I went to see it with the book half-forgotten (by now the impressions from the film aren't that sharp, but the 'let's show Peter up as an idiot' trend in the film does not seem to be present in the book. And yes, I am fond of Peter. I almost always choose older brothers and 'lawful good' types as my favourites).

Still playing Yukimura online. Still wondering what the hell I am doing. But at least I have my idea of his character settled.

Stationary Stationery
I left a highlighter on the bus today by mistake. T_T I was using it to work through Robert McKee's Story (GOOD BOOK), and ,ust have dropped it coming off the bus. Oh dear. I have other highlighters, but it's just that I liked that one.

Electronic Convergence
I may be strange for saying this, but I actually like only having one function per device. You know why? I run the batteries out on these things like whoa. I have a handheld internet terminal that lasts 2 hours on a good day (if I expect to be using it more than that, I bring the charger). My PDA will allow me to read books for about 5 hours between charges. My mp3 player plays music for about 5 hours too. (It's getting old and the battery is dying, I think.) My Nintendo DS only lasts about 5 hours (I use the R4--it's been observed to cut battery life significantly). I don't bother carrying my laptop anywhere--one hour plus? No thanks, it's too heavy for that, and I have Saeki for almost everything I need.

The only thing on me that lasts more than 24 hours on a single charge? My cellphone. And that is because I refuse to use it for anything besides calling (okay, and texting). ^_^;;;;

This person is pretty amazing--all that music! Three songs (I think--lost count) from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, all piano-only.

Earlier while browsing through free_manga, I saw someone post RAW scans of Zombie-Loan. I noticed that its genre has "romance" in it. (I thought it was purely shounen) I just saw the anime and the first few chapters of the manga, so I cannot deduce anything of ZL having romantic moments. So can anyone tell me why can it be put under the romance tag? I don't mind spoilers. :)

Видимо что-то случилось, но в косплейный список-2008 неожиданно (прежде всего для меня) нагло вплыл Акио из Shoujo Kakumei Utena.



И причиной подобных желаний, как всегда, стал классный косплей.
